Music and Entertainment Applications Now Open for 2019 Awards

We have a great opportunity for service users or ex-service users to perform at this year’s National Service User Awards.

There will be five entertainment slots available throughout the day, each one lasting 3 to 5 minutes. Entertainment can include instrumental music performances, singing / rapping, dance or poetry readings.

About the awards

Originally founded in 2013 the annual National Service User Award celebrate the large number of service users projects in inpatient services nationwide.

Date and venue

The 2019 National Service User Awards will be held on Wednesday 1st May 2019 in the Lakeside Pavillion of the beautiful Colwick Hall, Nottingham.

How to Apply

To apply please write a cover letter explaining what you would like to perform and why you should be chosen. Please email your [email protected]. In addition you can post an example of your performance (DVDs / CDs) to Louise Bannister, Cygnet Hospital Derby, 100 City Gate, London Road, Derby, DE24 8WZ.

We do ask that applicants are able to commit to being able to perform on the day and also have the necessary support to be able to come. Unfortunately we are not able to reimburse travel costs.

Applications close at the end of March and the successful entrants will be chosen soon after by our Service User Events Team. Good luck!
